Linda Anuar currently works on simulation and experiment of a neutron source imaging using compressed sensing principles in the collimator design. The assembly of this system consists of a water-filled tank with an array of PVC pipes acting as the collimator and a couple of He-3 neutron detectors. This has been proven to be possible by using Monte Carlo N-Particle Transport Code (MCNP) simulations. Anuar is investigating whether these simulations can be verified through a physical experiment. This research is important as it provides an avenue to support radioactive source or nuclear material detection for security and safeguards purposes. Her adviser is Dr. Craig Marianno. Anuar received her Bachelor of Engineering from McMaster University, Canada in Engineering Physics (2011) and Master of Science in Nuclear Power Plant Engineering from KEPCO International Nuclear Graduate School, South Korea (2014). She worked as a lecturer at National Energy University (Universiti Tenaga Nasional), Malaysia in the Mechanical Engineering Department from 2014 to 2016 before joining the NSSPI family.
