The United States is facing a crisis due to the shortage of young people pursuing STEM careers. Texas A&M University is committed to PK-12 and partners with schools and out-of-school-time programs to provide cutting edge content and applications to inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers and mathematicians. We know that each educator impacts thousands of students in their career, so by working directly with PK-12 educators and administrators, we intend to increase the number of pathways that lead to STEM careers for our Texas youth.
STEM 4 Innovation will focus on providing Texas K-12 formal and informal educators and administrators ideas, strategies and resources to encourage more of their students to pursue careers in STEM. STEM 4 Innovation will be an outstanding two days of interactive experiential learning that provides 14 hours of valuable continuing education credit while exposing educators and administrators to STEM at a research one university.
